Tim Doughty joins Tubelite serving as a client development manager in Georgia

Walker, Mich. (March 2012) — Tubelite Inc. welcomes Tim Doughty to serve Georgia as client development manager. Drawing from four decades of experience in the glass and metal industry, he will provide glazing contractors with storefront, curtainwall, entrance and daylight control systems.

Doughty joins Tubelite following nearly 30 years of service with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope and Vistawall Architectural Products. He began as an architectural field representative and was promoted to district sales manager and then to region sales manager. He dedicated 13 years as eastern region sales manager before moving to his most recent position as southeastern region sales manager.

Bringing his expertise of the industry and the region to Tubelite, he sees an opportunity for continued growth. “I’m very excited about Tubelite’s sales potential in Georgia. They have a long legacy of excellent quality of products, and great customer service,” says Doughty.

Development of Tubelite’s ForceFront™ Storm systems that are designed for compliance with High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) Windzones 2 and 3 will add the necessary dependability needed for buildings in the southeastern market.

All of Tubelite’s products are manufactured using EcoLuminum™, a high recycled-content aluminum billet composition with eco-friendly, durable finishes. These include: energy-efficient Therml=Block™ entrances; standard doors, windows, storefront and curtainwall; and Max/Block™ sun shade and aLuminate™ light shelf daylight control systems. These recycled and energy-efficient attributes may contribute to U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC’s) LEED® Green Rating System™.

Tubelite is a member of the USGBC, the Construction Specification Institute, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association, the Glass Association of North America, and an approved continuing education provider through the American Institute of Architects.

Doughty continues his professional development through these organizations and in other industry events in Georgia. Originally from Ohio, he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. He now lives in Newnan, Ga., where he enjoys time with his extended family, as well as his long-time colleagues and clients.
